It's a beautiful day in Draco. The sun is shining, the birds are singing, and I was out tiptoeing through the tulips, while making sure I took the time to stop and smell the roses, when out in the distance, I spotted a fleet sitting all alone on a planet. I felt very sorry for the ships, as they looked so very sad. They were dusty and starting to get rust spots, so I swooped in and rescued them. Sometimes I really wonder...I saw this fleet sitting out in G2 on Friday, with no activity on any of his planets/moons. I briefly considered sending a mobile up there at the time, and hitting it Friday night, but I figured he'd be back on long before I could make that happen, so I thought I'd do it on Monday. For some reason I decided to try to do it yesterday instead, but of course he saw me and moved the fleet to G1. That was fine - I figured I'd get it eventually. However, I didn't know that he was going to just leave it sitting out on the moon in G1 overnight and not fleet save it... :rollineyes:

I got a tip last night that this fleet was sitting around, and the person who saw it wasn't able to hit it yet, so I launched on it. Unfortunately, the defender came online just before the hit, and moved it. I let the hit go through anyway, to bash down the defense a little bit, and sadly, it resulted in a moon. A couple of hours later, I was cruising through G1 looking around, and I noticed a timer on that same planet, but no activity on the moon (or anywhere else), so I checked the phalanx of the planet...sure enough, there's that very same fleet on a harvest mission. *sigh* I guess the moon is just a bright, shiny rock, and not something useful to him. Anyway, you can probably figure out the rest of the story...based on the time of the earlier hit, and the time of the harvest mission, I was actually able to figure out which % he sent his fleet at, so I waited until it had passed the point of no return, locked it, and...BOOM. :rollineyes:
Strangely enough, I HoF'd this same guy 7 days ago. Oh well, it's yummy again. Rebuild quickly, Rayman - I like you!

I didn't think I'd catch it that quickly either. I'm glad that's all it was - honestly, I was concerned that something had happened. You'll get it back quickly - like I said, you only dropped 3 ranks. So you must have a good solid account there.
Not much of a story here. I thought maybe I'd have to fight this fleet the other night when I return locked AOH's BS/BC, but he didn't try anything. I was out poking around this morning and saw this sitting with no activity on its moon/planet, so I thought I'd give it a shot. He had random activity popping up here and there, but it seemed like it was just fleet saves returning, so I let it go and just safety probed before it hit. I was a little bit shocked that he didn't come on, but...tasty!
I hope you have a quick and easy rebuild, Army. You only dropped 3 overall ranks, which says a lot about the strength of your account without the fleet. This was not personal, nor was it revenge in any way, shape, or form, it was just the challenge of catching your fleet.

This was a nice hit. It would've been nicer if he hadn't been my student... 
Rebuild quickly, JMan - I know there were things going on last night, and I also know that you're already on your way back.
My favorite part of this hit was how you immediately went into vmode. You're not afraid of me, are you? 
I got a tip last night that theez was fleet saved on a long deploy, and the person who saw it wasn't going to be able to try to hit him. So I launched on him today, figuring he'd recall, and I was all set up to do a blind return, but he never did recall.
I didn't send follow-ups initially, since I was certain that he'd recall, but when he didn't, I sent some after the initial attack. They ended up staggered with DegO's follow-ups, so the later ones were pretty tiny, but I still captured a nice amount of deut and it repaid my launching/phalanxing costs and then some.
I wish you an easy recovery, theez. Thank you for the lovely resources - I shall use them well!
