OK, hopefully done right this time, the title contains what it is supposed to, and an approved converter was used for the CR. I apologize that the first was not done correctly, I am new to posting combat reports. So mods, if I missed anything else please let me know so I can correct any further errors. I admit this does look much more tidy, so I appreciate being linked to the resources. 
Anyway, to reiterate for the rest of you. 
So, here I was saving up for my next research project, when along comes a raider. He though he was getting more than 50k metal, 25k crystal, and 10k deut.

Fortunately I was very close to having what I needed for the research project--level ten laser tech, which costs over 100k metal and at least half that of crystal, and as such I spent that about ten minutes before the attacking fleet hit, then used my recyclers to save my fleet and what resources were left over with seconds to spare before the enemy arrival.
Not the most epic battle by any means, but I would certainly say this is a good save of my resources, especially since I put them to the intended use and the enemy did not get anything, wouldn't you guys? XD
