Spotted his fleet roughly 2 weeks ago, went into his system, looked at his on/off pattern and at a given moment you just go for it.
Involved a little bit of luck, cause those rips are so darn slow, but I managed to get through. Sadly just not totally through his defenses, then it would have been a 300 million more resources steal.
