    Well good job I guess. Maybe treble will return all the duet I traded at 2:1:1 or cereal will repay me for the 5 free moon shots. I've been attempting to give this account for a few weeks now as I am to busy to play. Its a shame that someone hadn't taken it before it got crashed. At least it gives me a good reason to commit to retiring. I wish everyone here success in both their pixalated and real word endeavors and remember; strong words written behind the safety of your internet anonymity are only as strong as the person writing them.

  • There is so much DM in this universe + Dark Matter BAD + Dark Matter?

    God damn, can we get off his convo. You have started several threads and complianed plenty about it. We already know your stance. If you don't like it, do what gunslinger does and crash them. These pointless threads and rants for or against DM have not, still aren't, and probably never will remove it from the game. To design and develop games takes money. A lot of collaborative thought has gone into ogame. Do you know how these people doing the thinking were compensated? MONEY! Maintaining a fair and level playing field requires people to make sure everyone is obeying the rules. Now I'm not 100% on this but I do believe their is some compensation involved. Probably not as much as necessitated by the work load but still. Lastly, do you have any idea the cost to maintain severs of this size? It's considerably more then you think. The bottom line is this; someone has to foot the bill for all of this. There are plenty of games you can buy if you don't like it. I recommend StarCraft as it feels similar to me ;-)

    So is the hit I've been waiting to make. I posted the other hit on Sungur not because it showed my skill or I thought it was impressive or I wanted to show off the fleet that I inherited.

    I posted it because as soon as I got this account, people started seeing what they could get away with. Testing me to see if I was a big noob with a big account. That post virtually stopped the constant probes. The probes were worse then what I used to get with my old account.


    I made the hit on Sungur because he was recruiting players to help him take me down and planning on popping my moon. Now I now that moon destruction missions aren't very successful with just a few RIPS but it's not a chance I was willing to take.


    After the hit, I told Sungur to take as much time as he needed to rebuild his fleet and grow his account to what he felt was a point where he could hold his own once again. I kept that promise.


    Sungur started probing incessantly around the same times every night the past could of days. Not just me but all of my members. In doing so, he gave me the most important info I could have ever asked for; his fleet save times.


    To make this hit work, I took a nap, called out from work and set an alarm. I waited for two hours for my shot. I sat around on one freaking planets for two freaking hours! I didn't probe one person or move so much as one small cargo. I checked his planets every 10 minutes. All of them.


    In summation, this hit is the result of hard work. I studied him and used his own habits against him. I read hundreds of pages on stalking your prey. This hit I can say I'm proud of. This hit was honest and clean.


    To you sungur, I wish you a fast rebuild. Your a good player and I try not to crash players repeatedly. I would have left you alone for a near indefinite period had you not restarted the hostilities.


    To you Head, the guy who was so quick to tell me I'd never have got him with out shady tactics, :l33t:

    I dedicate this to the NOOBS who take the time to learn the game. I'm not a great fleeter and I may never reach the level of the players I've seen on here but I wouldn't have made it this far had I given up the first time I was crashed.

  • Game suggestion?

    I keep a "scouting" fleet along with enough deut to fly full fleet at full speed on every moon. My scout fleet includes deut, probes, large cargoes(for fleet saving the deut) and small cargos(for inactives). It's worked well for me. I think using jump gates for rez would probably give big players more of an advantage as it cost alot to build them. Imagine a player being able to instantaneously move rez and build mines and stuff with out having to wait to move it. They'd grow faster then the player who has to spend 120k duet to move the rez and wait two hours or more for it to get there.
