I think going in and out of vmode once in a while for valid reasons is fine. The prime example of the vmode abuse is our current #1 in Zenith. He comes out of vmode randomly in the middle of the night, does his thing with his 2m reapers and then goes back into v mode in the morning. If anyone defends this kind of play, you are delusional to say the least. The only way to try to fight this type of players is for someone to stay up all night and hope he shows up. If someone builds a big enough fleet that they can't afford to fleet save every night, doesn't mean that they should be allowed to abuse vmode non stop.

100% with Demonfreak. This V mode warrior bs has to come to an end. That is all some players do. There should be some sort of rules about how often you can jump in and out of vmode.

This is the base issue that most of us have with this player. look at the auction page history. I can speak from experience in a bunch of these auctions that he wins, he doesn't place a single bid more than 5-10 seconds or less before the end of the auction. ever. And he's not just "next highest bid (the double orange arrows)" button and bidding, he's punching in varying amounts (almost always the same number in different order/quantity 2.222 or 2.222.222 or 3.333 or 3.333.333) and faster than we can click the next bid and submit buttons. so he's either got unworldly hand eye coordination coupled with a manic obsession at refreshing the auction page to get the times down to under 10 seconds, or hes using a bot/script. And him making comments that he's a GO just implies to the rest of us that he knows how to get away with it and or the GO's that are "investigating" the tickets submitted are either covering up what he's doing (being furthered by the fervent defensed of the PLAYER, not the game by other GO's on this board).
at the end of the day, the end result is you have alot of players left with a really bad impression of the game that alot of us have spent alot of time (and money in some cases) on and are less and less likely to continuing to play/spend.
If this bidding activity from Inprotest is true that's a bit fishy to say the least...
So to recap, what I am getting from this thread is that:
- Openly mocking people on the forum for using DM is ACCEPTABLE
- Going around telling people that you are a GO (even though you might not be one) is OKAY
- Suspiciously winning almost every auction and being active almost 24/7 is NOT CHEATING
- Having a profile pictures of Nazis is ALLOWED
Right on lol. I guess Inprotest has it all figured out. It's possible that Inprotest is not actually cheating at all.. Maybe he is just a very passionate Ogame player with a lot of free time. That's fine, it's his life. This game can be harsh and can bring up all kind of strong emotions. I'm no saint, I've blown up many moons and smashed a few fleets likely upsetting people. However, just a bit of decency goes a long way.
Inprotest, perhaps let other people win the auction time to time, or after crashing a fleet, let that player recover a bit before attacking again. And finally, don't need to mock people on the forum for using DM. Especially when everyone sees that your fleet was not build from just mining. This thread likely wouldn't have gone as far as it did if you wouldn't have mentioned the DM part. As for the profile picture, not sure what it's all about.

Let's try to keep it short and sweet.
Been watching a moon with a lot of activity. Lucky for me it was just 4 systems away. Let's talk about activity.. CEO has a LOT of it, and by a LOT, I mean 24 hrs. Must be some sort of insomniac without a job? Anyway, activity didn't stop me before from making fireworks. I aimed and fired. Moon went boom and tadaaa ! There it was, CEO's fleet casually flying into my arms. Had a lot of time to plan, so I put my rips and recyclers to work. Unfortunately, CEO is a sore loser. He IPM'd the hell out of few of my moons for about 24 hrs stripping them of all defenses. I let him rage for a bit until I had enough. It was time to put him back into his place. I gave him a taste of his own medicine and called in some reinforcement to inflict some more pain. Let's hope he got the message.

Time for a new Top 10 entry.
Last week, one of my spy balloons noticed Vauss' fleet chilling on one of his moons. I immediately launched.. but he came back online and sent his fleet packing. The deut bill sucked but it was worth a shot. Few days later, even though his fleet was out of sight, it was still on my mind. I watched and made a plan. Out of 12 moons, I selected 3 good candidates and blew them up... lost a few RIPs in the process but that's part of the game. Much to my frustration, I did not see his main fleet on any of my phalanxes. What a bummer. I could have launched on his expeditions fleets, however those were not enough to get my interest. A short moment later, Vauss was back online. I decided to not give up. I identified two more potential moons where his fleet was likely flying to. Then, after putting pieces together, I finally narrowed it down to a single one and launched a new MD mission while he was online. Vauss insta built enough ships to defend his moon and tear my RIPs apart. This is when Emnoxage makes his glorious entry into this story. Emnoxage sent his BCs to safely escort my RIPs directly to Vauss' moon. At the same time, Vauss started to build a lot of defense on his planet. That was a very good sign and confirmed that I was on the right path. Vauss abandoned his plans of defending his moon. The MD mission was a success. Again, I lost a bunch of RIPs but it was worth the risk and .. the reward. Bingo! Vauss' fleet was now visible and trapped. Move forward to the next day, a second after its return, Vauss' fleet was destroyed and recycled. Big thank you again to Emnoxage, without who this hit would probably have been too risky.
