Congrats on the hit!
I'm okay, thanks for your concern. I simply had a waaay too long and complicated day at IRL.

Collecting res in the day to day grind takes an unnecessarily large number of page loads, combine that with the lag between America and other continents, and the most basic task players have to do daily takes up a ton of time during which players do nothing else than do a menial boring task and wait for pages to load. Anything to speed up that process would be greatly welcome.
Sending fleets on unique missions makes sense to be more than a two step task, but sending them on a mission which must be done daily for each planet the player has makes no sense to be a time consuming task.

So Bombers get RF against plasma's? This will be interesting since many players are either Miners, Turtlers or Mixers. Not everybody has gobs of time like most fleeters have. And some people make it a lifework on OGame to create a Turtle 'fortress'. I hope not this new update will negate all that time spent on the game to either getting high mines (due to planet destroyers) or a big defense (due to bombers having RF against plasma's). Because let's say, in the last option: If bombers have rapid fire against plasma's, consider their cost it will be so easy to overcome a turtlers defense. Too easy, because the only ship that has rapid fire back to the bomber is the deathstar. And that is currently only 25. So even with a 1,000 deathstars you mow down 25,000 bombers in each wave. That's in theory, but in practice you will probably see combination of deathstar-bomber fleets heading towards turtlers. I think in the update also the defensive players need some kind of upgrade, otherwise it will be unfair and Gameforge should keep in their mind that a lot of players are miners, mixers or turtlers, and they will leave the game entirely.
I second this, fleeters are getting innumerable buffs with this update, and there are no defense buffs whatsoever. Even now its almost impossible to maintain a valid turtle, if the update stays as it is, turtles will be thoroughly shafted.

With the bombers gaining rapid fire against the plasma canon and fleeters getting fleet buffs, the collector class should get some defensive buffs, otherwise the new update will completely and absolutely invalidate turtles.

Also note that while it's a rare occurrence, the bug most definitively does exist.
-
A side note to this, multiple missions sent with one fleet launch is a long time standing bug, that was reported multiple times. This bug will be fixed later rather than sooner, in case it's ever fixed at all.

IPMs ignore shields, which is why the shield domes are obliterated. IPMs only care about structural points, which is a department in which the domes lack most if not all presence.

All my fleets got grounded, and GameForge raised an attack block with a close to nonexistent duration.
If they don't extend the attack block, this would have killed my fleet while I was at work if I didn't vmode during lunch break.
Re-launching fs was unfortunately not an option in my situation, 2 days worth of production lost for nothing....

First of all, congrats on the hit! Although your failure to complete the main objective of creating a moon after you spent all this effort to make a board worthy 20% moonshot is unfortunate.
I have to agree with @ejgutbarr and @deadparrot, this hit is only possible because staff is on the attacking team.
I have to object to @ManSizedRooster 's accusation that Volke used his GO access to make this hit happen. It's blindingly obvious that Volke is relying on and is taking advantage of his MOD powers, don't let his colour change fool you.
@deadparrot glad to see that you reflected on your actions from last time and used your BA powers to hack a thousand bombers into the hit.
@ManSizedRooster "Isn't harddriver a [REDACTED]" I have no clue what you might be talking about dear sir, and your suggestion that "there goes that theory...." is straight up heretical. Also note that your mishandling of classified information has been reported to the proper authorities within the gomod inquisition. @BUGG will inform you of the outcome of the investigation. My suggestion within the report was withdrawing 30% of your access to MOD powers, but knowing the Lord Inquisitor that number will likely be cranked up to 70%.
On a more serious tone:
@deadparrot For about a month now under almost every BooM hit it was talked about by mostly BooM that the hits would never have been possible without MOD powers. I presumed that BooM being accused of MOD/GO collusion was at the core of the topic, so I addressed the ogame-wide MOD/GO issue three days ago. As a reply you mentioned that "wahr suggested we use MOD powers to make hits", which I don't remember happening so I've read back the older threads today. At the start of this whole charade DESs said that mods play against regular players, which while might be interpreted as suggestion of GO collusion is mostly referencing the nature of events on the boards, and in the same thread DESs clarified that he isn't suggesting that MODs have advantage over regular players, and in his replies he took issue with what was going on at the boards, and never referenced any MOD/GO collusion.
After that for about a month now almost every hit was referencing this topic and the conversations had the undertone of "wahr baselessly suggested we use GO powers to make hits because their ego can't take a hit and they are unsportsmanlike players", which [WAHR] never did and which you base off of DESs taking an issue of the MODs behaviour on the boards. If wahr ever suspected GO collusion, the issue was resolved within the ticket system as it should be, and as far as I am aware was never taken outside of it.
After a month of this crusade of throwing shade it's no wonder that some wahr players are starting to take an issue with what's going on, and it shouldn't be a surprise that at this point not all of them are expressing themselves in a 200% politically correct manner.

@deadparrot Stop avoiding the topic and trying to derail the conversation.
Where the hell were the bombers in this hit?
Did you really think we won't hold you responsible over this?

By my understanding, the relationship between the .us MOD team and GO team is not corrupt.
The mod staff has always been fair here in .us. They do the best they can with often vauge parameters from gf. This is not thier fault. To say anything else or try to blame hits on it just shows your a scrub, and cant acknowledge you are an inferior player.
Just my opinion.
Don't ignore everything beyond the second part's second sentence, the wall of text isn't that long
-
again, not possible to do this hit without mod powers
Of course not. [BooM] has access to satellites and drones from which they can track how far away you are from your electronic devices and how likely you are to check on them. If they get an internal report from GameForge headquarters that a user didn't interact with their machine in the past two to five minutes, they check the drone feeds to see what's up. If they see that you're sitting in a bath tub and dozed off or are walking your dog and forgot your phone at home, they will launch an attack.
I tought this was common knowledge, I don't get why it has to be pointed out.
Satire aside, regarding the mod/go topic:
The issue isn't that the MOD team has access to the GO tools, the problem is that the MOD team has an access to the GO team.
By my understanding, the relationship between the .us MOD team and GO team is not corrupt.
Unfortunately, the same can't be said regarding all past ogame staff worldwide.Ogame has been around for 15+ years, during this time some go/mod teams were corrupted, at least partially.
The longer a player has played this game, the higher the chance that they have observed a corrupt staff member's actions causing negative consequences to players.Once a player has experienced that, it sets a precedence. They'll start viewing all ogame staff as potentially corrupt, and often assume corruption where there is none. These assumptions being proven right from time to time by an actual corrupt staff doesn't help the situation.
Which brings us to an unfortunate situation:
- Players don't trust the staff, occasionally rightfully so.
- Non-corrupt staffs would need to prove a negative for players to fully trust them, and proving negatives isn't exactly easy. -
Volke: Cruiser 500.002
...WHY???
Aside from that, congrats on the hit!
GLIRL / Fr defender in case you stay. After Captain Leonis deleted his account, Fart was the last [NEXT] member still playing Japetus. If he remains in vmode after this hit, then next's story is most likely over in this uni unless they choose to take the path of the phoenix.

Just remember private messages are not allowed to be posted without permission from all involved.
Does that apply to in-game sharing too, or is this only a boards rule?
While the drama IS entertaining, getting access to the real story too might be healthy and could reduce undeserved resentment for both sides.
Since we're talking about ingame rules, @Silverwind can you help us with this one?
