If you need to provide us with a screenshot of something (in a ticket, for example), your screenshot needs to follow some guidelines in order for us to be able to use it:
- Your screenshot needs to be of your full game screen, so that we can see everything on the page.
- All OGame addons/extensions/scripts need to be disabled before taking the screenshot, so that the server date/time are displayed (and not your local time) and so that we can see the actual game interface, and not an interface that has been altered by addons/extensions/scripts.
You have several options for easily making screenshots, depending on what kind of system or device you are using. If you are using a system/device that is not in the list below, use your favorite search engine (google, yahoo, etc.) to search for how to take a screenshot with your particular device or operating system.
Snipping Tool
- Left-click the start icon in the bottom left corner of your screen:
- Type "snipping" into the search box that shows up just above the start icon, and then select Snipping Tool.
- Click New, and a + will appear on your screen. Use your mouse to position it at the top left corner of your game screen, then press and hold your left mouse button and drag it down to the bottom right corner of your game screen to select the entire game screen, as in this sample:
- Your screenshot will appear in a Snipping Tool window. Left-click File in the upper left corner of this Snipping Tool window and choose Save As. Type a name into the "File Name" box (this one is named Sample screenshot, for example) and in the "Save as type" box, change the option to jpeg or jpg.
- Click Save to finish the process.

- Your Mac automatically saves the screenshot to your desktop with a file name like "Screen Shot 2020-07-25 at 10:59:01 AM".
- If you have an older model iPad, press the power button and home button at the same time to take a screenshot. It will be saved to your Photos app.
- If you have a newer model iPad that does not have a home button, press the power button and the volume up button at the same time to take a screenshot. It will be saved to your Photos app.
- If you have a newer model iPhone with Face ID, press the side button and the volume up button at the same time to take a screenshot. Touch the thumbnail that appears in the bottom left corner of your screen and then touch "Done" to open a menu. Choose "Save to Photos" and then open your Photos app to find your screenshot (it should be the last photo in your app).
- If you have an older model iPhone with Touch ID, press the side button and the home button at the same time to take a screenshot. Touch the thumbnail that appears in the corner of your screen to open it, and then follow the instructions above to save it.
- For most Android devices, press the power button and the volume down button at the same time to take a screenshot.
- If that doesn't work, use your favorite search engine (google, yahoo, etc.) to search "How to take a screenshot on a __________", where you enter the make of your particular Android device in the blank and then follow the instructions given.
Once you have a screenshot that shows the entire game screen, including the server date and time, you need to attach it to your ticket.
To attach your screenshot, click "Choose File" and then locate the screenshot you took. To attach another screenshot, click the + next to "Choose File" and it will open up a second option for you to choose and attach a file. Once you have successfully attached a screenshot, your screen should look like the ticket below.
Press Submit to send your ticket.
If you need more assistance, please submit a ticket or contact us on the OGame Discord server and ask us for help taking screenshots or attaching them to a ticket. We would be happy to help you with this!
