I watched " the Martian" yesterday...I had missed it when it came out. Great movie if you haven't seen it.

Oh gosh, I LOVE that movie! "I am the greatest botanist on the planet!" Yes...yes you are.

The Martian is a severely underrated movie. “That’s right, this means in the history of mankind, I am the first ever SPACE PIRATE.”

I actually read the book after seeing the movie a couple of times, which isn't the normal order of things for me. As usual, the book was even better than the movie, which was really great (and I'm not a movie lover). If you haven't seen it or read the book, GO DO IT.

I, like you, usually read the book before I see the movie, but I didn’t read this one. I may pick it up in the future.

It's definitely worth it. I was hesitant to buy it since I'd already seen the movie more than once, but I bought the kindle version and it was great. I have since acquired the paperback as well.

Haven't seen Moon, but Castaway is proof to me that Tom Hanks is the greatest actor in Holly wood.

From the very funny, to the serious, his skill is touching and he draws you in to really identify with the person he is playing.

Castaway is proof of that...So not to give it away:

No other actor can bring tears to the rim of your eyes for the loss of a volley ball. "WIllllsooonn! Willlson! NOOO!!!"

Have you not seen the revenant? DiCaprio won an Oscar and I don’t think he spoke more than 200 words the whole movie. IMO the best piece of acting since Tom Hanks played Forest Gump.
