RiLeY [LRH] vs. Morrock [STDs] (A: 154.110.000, D: 922.839.000) - [TOT: 1.076.949.000]

  • This time, I've got something new for you guys, hope you like it

    ____________________________________________________________________________________________________

Once upon a time, there were rummors about Morrock's fleet
Hiding in the shadows, Riley thought it was just a myth
    About tremendous fleet flying around,
deep in space, without making a sound.
Those pilots were drinking, simply having fun
Nobody had ever expected they would have to run

Fleetsaving with colo missions, thinking they were safe
How little did they know about their inevitable fate
Coming to a crossway, a decision had to be made
Should I let him flee, or start my crusade ?!
What should I do, and what do I need?!
Riley wanted to know how he should proceed

Knowing that I can't let him go,
I built 10k dessies, acting like a pro.
It was time to wait till Morrock falls asleep,
launch 6MDs, hoping he'll miss his morning beep.
It was like he knew, so he came online,
but a shout was sent to my men: "Hold your line"

Backup is coming, I'll recall the first,
he's got only one shot, you shall not burst.
And just before delivering their final blast,
ogame decided that my session should not last.
Kicked me outside, making me unable to slow,
two of my good men delivered their final blow :(

I recalled the rest with a tear in my eye,
dreams of catching his fleet were waving goodbye
The day was spent, no sign of his fleet,
it was about time to turn up the bed sheet.
Right before I was ready to close this book,
I paid his moon one last quick look

All of a sudden, there were lights on his moon
"Is it what I have been waiting all this afternoon?
It must be his fleet, has it really returned?
Oh my, I'm right! Looks like the tables have turned"
"My jump gate is ready, ships awaiting their cruise,
lets give out the order, I've got nothing to lose"

"He won't come online, what are the odds?,
lets just hope for the best and pray to the gods.
It's getting really late, about past-time for a bed,
and by the time I wake up, I want his fleet shred"
You already assume how the rest of it goes,
Resistence is usless, that everyone already knows!

And just for the record, this is the FIRST super advanced hit in Orion. Has 2x more TD than previous top 1 solo, and 3x more TD than last number 1 in ACS.

Many thanks to Tankspot for helping me with this poem :D
Thank you Dice for "holding my hand at the darkest moments"
Thank you Morrock for being such a great sport, I hope you stick around :)

  • Poetic justice is all that I can say  LOL felt the need to edit this and add:

There was the glimmering fleet of Morrock
Riley's pilots were axious as they stared at the clock
at this hour he contemplated going for a walk
but all he could do was listen to the tick - tock

Who was on chat at this odd hour? for it was Riley
his ships were on a mission so slyly
instead of passing the time so dryly
why not chat it up with a big :wink2:

OK, that's all I got m8! Nice way to smash up the uni records; GLOTR Morrock, hope you stick around.

  • Nice hit Riley, no hard feelings.

As the saying goes...timing is everything: Here is my side of the story and how I made this hit possible for Riley's total dominance of my fleet.

Something Saturday morning (4 AM) told me to wake up and take a look at my account (typically just to send out another round of expeditions...), and what do I see, 6 attacks incoming to destroy my moon...CRAP. So after much planning I determine a course of action and go back to bed, BTW, at this moment my main fleet has nothing to fear as they were headed for another vacation trip to one of my other moons...

Fatal Flaw #1: Knowing my defense would only hold up to one of these attacks, I recalled: Arrival time back at moon - 2:30 in the afternoon (so I thought)

Incoming MD were schedule to hit at 9:28:49 and 9:28:50 and I had an appointment at 9:00 (problem) - but I still managed to get my plans in place... OGame cooperated: My small defense fleet (to avoid the moon being destroyed) arrived at 9:28:49 (after the defense clearing fleet)...the Moon was saved! :pleasantry: :nono:

Fatal Flaw #2: Having only my phone to control what was going on and having my life blood drained to save lives - I misread the location that the 6th fleet and cleanup crew was targeting my planet, so I moved my brave survivors off the moon right into oncoming death!

Imagine my state of mind... But wait...My main fleet was safe and returning so I could plan to protect said moon in the future with keeping some RIPs out of the fleetsave rotation...

Final Fatal Flaw #3: Mis-judgement of time. I woke up at 2:30 to send out the main fleet (after restoring my expedition fleet that I had recently destroyed) and saw that there was still an hour until it arrived back at the moon... Unfortunately, I left the house to go to a basketball team and left everything as a sitting duck at the moon...

The rest is history... As for whether I hang around or not is still up in the air... There is a saying that Luck is when opportunity and preparedness meet. Luck was with you Riley. Good Hit. :dash:

    :cookie2: :airborne:

  • that is a really nice keep up the good work SIR!!! and congrats on the super advance ^^:idhitit:

Golly Geeze Mister he didnt mean too :golly:

If your enemy is secure at all points, be prepared for him. If he is in superior strength, evade him. If your opponent is temperamental, seek to irritate him. Pretend to be weak, that he may grow arrogant. If he is taking his ease, give him no rest. If his forces are united, separate them. If sovereign and subject are in accord, put division between them. Attack him where he is unprepared, appear where you are not expected.
