Why do LF researches that increase production not add up ECO points?

    I noticed that while doing LF researches related to increasing production, and I have TONS of those, do not reflect in the Economy points.


    I know it's a 'research' but these researches do increase your production, so it does increase your economy. So why are those not counted into economy points as well?

    I would think it's the same reason Plasma research does not increase economy.

    Of course a big part of it my be laziness on the part of the game coders.

    There are 10 types of people in the world:

    - Those that understand binary
    - Those that don't

    I think is more related to the fact that they are related to the LF points (and I think correctly).

    Specifically in the LF technology points.

    Nevertheless, those LF researches do increase the production a lot. Take this example of one of my planets in Volans:

    The metal mine 57 there has a base producing of 3M (3.8M in reality but GF does not round off these figures to the closest biggest number)

    Lifeform Research combined does 5M (5.7M in reality for the same reason). (The resource overview has been compacted so not all items are showing).

    But also not even taking into account Magma Forge, Plasma Technology, Items, Collector Bonus, Alliance Class, Crawlers and the Geologist (if I forget one let me know).

    This extra production is thus nothing into account regarding Economy, while it does contribute to it. Simply put, sorry looks a bit messy, but the total of all the extra's that are adding to the metal mine is about 6 times as much than the single metal mine itself. In other words, the 'economy points' are not giving an accurate picture of what somebody produces.

    Yes. This is true: economic points don't reflect the production, they reflect how much resources you spent in building of the planet.

    LF tech are not inside Eco Points, they are LF points, as crawler are not in eco but in ship, and plasma is in research and not in eco.

    In Eco you have also nanite which doesn0t affect the production of res.


    I think this way of counting point is more logic otherwise you have to discuss everything. Just some crazy example:

    - Why Weapons Technology, Shielding and Armour are in research and not in military?

    - Plasma?

    - Why Reasearch Lab stay in eco and not in research (it affect the speed of research)...


    These are only example but the topic is that points are not part of the effect...
