the merge is ridiculous. To have both Gaspra and Volans as targets and Ozone as a exodus uni is nonsense. How could it have taken so long to make this merge decision and make such thoughtless choices? Just make U.S. a multiverse and let us decide where we want to move our accounts when we want. I am about done wasting my money on this game.

After the mergers are completed in all communities, we will conduct a survey and vote both on the game forum and directly in the game itself.
If the number of votes is higher than 70% of those playing in the universe, we will request changes to the settings from the GF.
In the meantime, let's calmly survive this merger.
This is asinine. Ozone is an exodus server. Its one of your most popular servers and you want to downgrade the eco costing people billions of resources a day. But wait, they can vote... and hope.... and pray that they will vote on 10x eco. In no situation should any uni be forced to take a downgrade and hope that 70% of the people agree in order to not be screwed. People have spent tons of their own money for this to not be considered a bigger issue than your treating this. The only votes that should need to be held are server setting upgrades, not upgrades after a forced downgrade.
The problem is that Ozone has how many potential target unis? Your best solution is to hold 6 votes and maybe all 6 can match ozone's setting? Really thats the best you got? What happens if all 6 unis vote for 10x eco? Is gameforge going to allow them to all be changed to 10x eco? (we both know the answer is no) So then hows the decision made which one gets the upgrade? Seriously, exactly how much time and effort went into the decision for this merge?
Also, when you got word that these unis were going to merge together... how much time and effort went into you fighting for the exodus/ target unis to be changed, if any at all. Did you even look at the server settings and think wtf? Honestly your first thoughts when you read about this merge should be outrage, if it wasn't then you don't belong here. Its clear that gf doesn't give to shakes of a nickel about this com, but if you as an admin are not all over GF fighting for the com, then you need to resign. If you seriously don't see this as an absolute insult to your players and you did nothing... please resign.

100% agree with this post. What server will have the x10 if the poll pass. and if my server dont get it like i wish will i be able to move to that x10 server. I am playing Ozone for the x10. Now no target have x10 and prety much all the target and low in populations. Why not make 1 target(keep ozone) and 1 target different then x10. less target is better in Us that have low popullations. No big effort was done in that merge for helping the Us community. Merge us with the Eng server a that point and stop releassing Us server.

Why not upgrade all the target unis to 10x eco and make it the new speed standard of Ogame.us? Other communities got that treatment with the recent merges, why not the US community? I can only imagine how frustrating a downgrade from 10x to 8x must feel. On the other hand, nobody would seriously complain about a free 10x upgrade, all players are happy, easy game.
GF seems just hellbent on pissing off as many players as possible...

I can name 912 different options that are better options than what was presented just off the top of the head. The only possible answer here is either sheer laziness, or gross incompetence. Its just so sad, infuriating and frustrating as someone who was Admin for so years that helped build up this community here and always went to bat for the com just being taken over by absolute potatoes who don't give 2 shits about the players. (here I am going to bat for users again as a player now) There is a reason why the community started to die after QL left. Staff quit caring.

This would require effort. Its clear that the amount of effort that went into the thought process behind this was a glorified game of eenie meanie miney moe.

SMURF STRIKE 2025 the only thing GF will care about is if the money spigot is turned off. Vacation mode your accounts and let them run the game with no income until they learn the customer satisfaction makes or brakes a business.

The main problem with the merge is not only you offer no x10 eco to ozone players, but all the merge plan!
As far as x10 eco is concerned, ozone of hima should have been a target, and most of the actual targets of the plan should have been the exodus in order to REGROUP the big universes!!
Admins, how can you be satistied of this plan?? Seriously ? Since when have you seen so activity on the board ?

You are wrong. When the time comes for unification, we will definitely take into account the opinions of the players.
Gaspra and Volans are both x1 attack fleet speed and x8 eco, but Gaspra is x6 peaceful fleet good for disco or collectors. Why keep Volans? Ozone is a better choice for a variety of options and Zenith is balanced medium x2 attack fleet. Your GF 2024 decision to keep Himalia over Yildun created the purgatory Hima is locked into now. Another year of Volans being a one alliance dominant uni will create the same problem there as well. Maybe you should have given Hima and Volans the option of moving their accounts to each other if you think they are both to big to move to the other universes.

And why so many targets if the Exodus universes produce so few active players?! We should upgrade Narvi as a target to x10, if Ozone is abandoned!

I like to offer the suggestion (to combat dead universes, even after the merge) to introduce AI players. Not the type of AI that would constantly attack you, but being relative 'peaceful' players that build up mines and some defenses and occasionally attack a random other player. And it would be nice that these AI players don't need to 'wait' for the resources to stack up, but just make the AI scanning the universe and rank up the mines and defenses accordingly with it.
Aside from possible new targets after the merge in the form of real players, a whole selection of AI players would add to the activity in a universe. GF is already making fake accounts but these account do not contribute in any way to the universe, they are automatically created and go inactive after a week with no mines, nothing on them. Hence the idea of making these "computer players" more active.

Like previous merge when few members pushed the ''skip inactive systems'' and mess with all players fleetsave. Why is there no pools for such a change? This means, the server settings can be changed if players want it or not, no pools, just change...
Who decide for this changes? Obviously, players that play this universe don't.
