I'm confused about how battles are calculated. I don't know if this is an issue with the four battlesims I tried or an OGame issue.
Given 0 tech for Attacker and Defender.
1 Ion Cannon
8,000 HP
500 Shield
vs
1 Battleship
1,000 damage
As I understand, starting at 70% HP, there is a (missing HP %) chance of the unit exploding. The battlesims consistently show the ion cannon destroyed in 2 rounds, but that doesn't make mathematical sense.
70% of 8,000 is 5,600 which would take the battleship 5 rounds to achieve since only 500 damage gets through the shield. It's only then that the it's a 60% chance of exploding. Since it takes 5 rounds for 1 battleship to damage the ion cannon enough to be considered for exploding, why do battlesims say 2 rounds? What am I missing or not considering?
