OGame Mobile Release

  • Hello commanders!


    It was the 26th of April, when we not just announced our biggest content update in history, “OGame Lifeforms”, but with “OGame Mobile” also one of our most challenging projects ever. Finally bringing the game we all love to the palm of your hand.


    Further down the road, on the 1st of June, we invited all of you to take part in our public beta, following smaller testing groups which gave us feedback on our designs and first technical approaches long before that time. With all your dedicated work, your feedback, and your suggestions for our further development, we improved the application to where we stand today.


    Now, in time with the 20th anniversary of OGame, a great milestone we only were able to reach thanks to our awesome communities, we are glad to announce the public release of “OGame Mobile” within the Google Playstore and Apple Appstore, including the Lifeforms content within the app.


    However, we won’t stop here. We will extend the app with several missing features, like all the rankings, the reward system, jump gate & phalanx, alliances and many more. We already have detailed planned for the further development and will share some new designs with you very soon.

    Features:

    The "Cancel" option has been added to the queue for buildings on servers with active lifeforms

    You can now change your player name





    Bugfixes:

    Fixed some bugs where error messages were not localized.

    Fixed several issues that caused crashes within the app.

    Fixed some visual issues in the message.

    Fixed an issue where you can't speed up the LF search when the queue is full.

    Fixed an issue that caused problems with InApp purchases.

    Later today, Thursday 20th of October, we will update OGame Mobile App with version 2.8.4


    Changelog:

    • Fixed Moon Destruction reports always showing the same message regardless of outcome
    • Fixed missile silos to not be demolish anymore if they are not empty
    • Fixed wrong message for full missile silo storage
    • Fleet Menu updates faster after switching planets
    • Fixed greyed-out construction buttons sometimes showing wrong message
    • Fixed not being able to queue research Lab during active research
    • Space Dock & Solar satellites no longer needlessly check for free planet slots for construction
    • Queue times taking longer than one week get displayed correctly in Overview UI
    • Fixed a graphical bug with LifeForms Technology icons inside the “Unlock” panel
    • Added missing warning messages about full resource storage when activating a resource package and insufficient Deuterium when sending a fleet inside the Galaxy view
    • Fixed a bug that would allow a building to be demolished to a level below 0
    • Fixed icons and text overlapping on construction buttons


    Added Features:

    • News regarding server maintenance and events get displayed inside the Lobby screen
    • Added the Class selection feature to the OGM app
    • Added in-game language selection
    • Added Highscore (This feature will not be available on 20.10.2022 but a few days later.)


    Known issues that will be fixed soon:

    • Issues in language AE, CN and JP
    • Canceling an upgrade (building or tech) leads to "an unknown error occurred" even if the cancellation works

    Due to the latest App Store price changes, prices of in-app purchases on the following application stores will also be adjusted with today's update: App Store (iOS) and Play Store (Android).


    The change only affects in-app purchases, the browser version stays the same.

    Later today, Thursday 1st of December, we will update OGame Mobile App with version 2.9.0


    Bugfixes:

    • Fixed an issue where the high score filters went off screen
    • Fixed an issue where the Asian and Arabic fonts displayed boxes
    • Fixed a variety of smaller localisation issues
    • Fixed an issue where the refill button was not aligned properly


    Added Features:

    • Jump gates
    • Alliance overview
    • Alliance search and create
    • BGL news categories and removed starting times
    • Added a button to the lobby to speed up the account creation on the latest servers
    • New game accounts will now be directed to class selection

    Note: Alliance features are still in development. This is not the final version regarding that and should be considered in Beta phase


    Known issues:

    • Resource trader is visually broken

    Changelog
    - Fixed some wrongly cropped messages
    - Fixed the Lifeform technology selection chance always displaying 25%
    - Added some missing translations in the item shop and the LF technology screen
    - Reversed the colors and numbers in the high score overview to show the correct gain/loss of ranks
    - Fixed high score filters not persisting after switching between player/alliance rank screens
    - Fixed a bug that made the high score screen disappear
    - The fleet movement screen is now able to correctly display fleets that take multiple days/weeks to arrive
    - Fixed an error that prevented players from sharing combat reports

    Thursday, 26th of January, we will update OGame Mobile App with version 3.3.0.



    Changelog:

    • Fixed issues regarding the game settings menu
    • Fixed an error with deleting messages that resulted in a crash
    • Fixed the alliance overview screen for members without rights
    • Resource images are now scaled correctly when cargo is loaded
    • Fixed building image being greyed out, although is possible to build
    • Removed the option to sort planets if only 1 planet is available
    • Fixed a bug that created a duplicate entry in the building queue
    • Fixed some issues regarding the icons in the bottom panel on wider screens
    • Added missing translations
    • Added a loading icon for the shop
    • Changed Dark Matter shop tiles and added some animations
