US Merge Discussion

I agree with the comments above. Tarazed needs to be a targets uni so the big accounts don't graveyard and move to a new uní. It would be a loss for all players involved. If tarazed was a targets uni it would be a win

This Merger Doesn't seem to make any sense to me. I'm in Tucanna and the #2 overall for points and #1 eco. I only have 127mill points in total. We have a 4x eco; Which is the lowest in group 1 . We also are the youngest server in group 1. When looking at the stats of other in the target uni some have 1-3Billion points or more. Please explain to me how this is fair? Honesty, Wish I Didn't spend money on this game now knowing this would be the potential outcome.

Just checked and Even Group 2 Volvans and Umbra top 5 players are higher than our #1 .....Why?....ECO Speed does have a strong effect

I agree with almost all the complaining above. Neither of these options are appealing to me but I fear that we will be forced to either go graveyard as mentioned(I don't know what that means)or somehow coordinate a move and effect a vote immediately to change the settings. But how would you do that with players on the other merging servers who may agree with us? The problem is that there are five servers with ranging settings. With Pasiphae and Tarazed being the only two with 1x fleet speed an option should have been provided. I'm willing to bet that there would also be some speed freaks looking to slow down for virtually all of the reasons already listed here.

As people have stated above I think terazed would be a good target Uni. Or no merge at all?

I work 50 hours a week in a job that doesn't allow me to check my phone multiple times a day. If I move to either of the target Unis my account is going to be toast.

The admins need to listen to what we are saying and provide good alternatives or not merge at all.

Few pages now of overwhelming support for a 1x Fleet Speed target option in Group 1, for which Tarazed would be the most ideal given that it's the most active uni in all of Group 1. Hopefully Schneeprinz  [ex-team] Rav3n can pass our feedback along to GF to resolve the issues many of us in this thread have.

I enjoy playing the game, and the thought that the only way I will be able to continue enjoying it at this 1x Fleet Speed pace is by going into VM and not playing for 60 days is extremely demotivating.

To use the graveyard, you would need to make sure you have some purchased DM on your account, go into Vacation Mode, and then not log into that account for 60 days. After 60 days, you would be moved to the graveyard server, from which you can select a new universe to move your account to.

Even some to be not happy about the target universe for this merge, on my point of view, this merge plan is fine and I fully agree with it.

However, it is true that it would have been better that the community would be consulted before the official announcement.

Merge, especially this one, have two big downsides:

- target universes are often completely different

- if someone already has an account on the target universe, it means that one account is deleted (nicely named "permanently v-mode")

If you don't have enough servers, maybe stop making new universes every 2 weeks and then combine them?

If you combine maybe give more possibilities:

- all universes where the top 20 or 100 have a similar number of points

- discussions before, not after, the merger announcement

- the ability to merge accounts (moving Inventory, choosing which planets from these 2 accounts will be on one new account) instead of discouraging people by deleting (permanent v-mode) everything they have achieved by spending time

These are not hard programming tasks.

Maybe the alternative option of 2 universes on one (4th coordinate) then you can merge and the interaction between users of 2 universes will be slower, you can keep the plane coordinates?

Following your idea, a merge intercommunity would be then better. If you select from couple communities server that are having different specification (for exemple fleet speed x1 and x6 in ORG, fleet speed x2 and x4 in US) and then you let the possibility for those different players to chose between those different server options, that would be great.

the problem now is that all the server in US are almost dead with very less players. the merge has the purpose to repopulate them but the way it's done is not the best according to most of the players. if you merge two communities, you give more option for target server and also make the servers bigger in term on amount of players

i would have hoped that there would be some feed back from the admins by now ... knowing about the resentment this forced merge is causing ...time for the admins to step up

AGREED. We the people, the supporters of ogame, the community; We should have a say in this as well. It would be greatly appreciated.

Sadly Gameforge doesn't care. They have the opinion of "deal with it or quit". We should have had a vote.

I still dont understand why Universe 1 even merged to Tarazed... and to just get rid of it soon after...

Best decision is to send your account to the graveyard and merge to Volans, unless Volans can be added as a target for Tarazed and Pasiphae since it seems we're the only universes in group 1 who want to stay in the lowest fleet speed.

Wont be surprised if they just make everyone graveyard, only a few days remaining until this happens

Players moving from universes with 4 galaxies to 9 galaxies should have the option to relocate at least half their planets to enable them to position themselves more strategically which would be needed in a larger universe.

Just a cows 2 cents. Like if you agree!

if im not mistakelnhe most comments are from uni 1 members the most active uni going ...most of them never visit or post here normally and even platers from other unis saying kjeep tazard,,,, i can tell you now if the goal to close .us here this will happen most players going to vmode and go graveyard, coz this the final nail in coffin,,,
