Hello commanders!

Today, 26th of November at 10:00 CET we updated PTS with the version 8.5.0.

[Changelog]:

• [Change]: Pirates encountered on expeditions now have a minimum combat tech level of 3.
• [Change]: Aliens and pirates no longer attack expedition fleets which contain at least one Deathstar.
• [Improvement]: Improved the loading times for switching through solar systems in the galaxy view.
• [Fix]: Fixed several overlays that could not be opened twice without reloading the page.
• [Fix]: Ship tooltips on Fleet Dispatch I are no longer able to block players from selecting the input field of the ship type above.
• [Fix]: The fuel capacity of ships is now equal to the ships' current cargo capacity instead of their cargo capacity base value.
• [Improvement]: Several changes in the back end.

We will be looking forward to loading times feedback specialy. If you are playing or using the test servers to check the new versions beforehand do not hesitate to let us know your experience.

Known issues in the version:
- Moons cannot be attacked with missiles.
- Espionage reports from moons cannot be viewed in the galaxy view
- The alliance rank in the galaxy view does not match the highscore rank
- Replying to an espionage or combat report shared does not work
- Combat reports cannot be deleted from the trash if they are opened in an extra tab
- Combat reports cannot be shared to the alliance using the share button at the overlay

These issues are being addressed already and won't make it to the live servers.

Public Test Server ONLY

Hello commanders!

Tomorrow, 2nd of December, at 10:00 CET we will have an update in the Public Test Servers with version 8.5.0-beta2.

The following issues have been fixed:

• Moons cannot be attacked with missiles
• Espionage reports from moons cannot be viewed in the galaxy view
• The alliance rank in the galaxy view does not match the highscore rank
• Replying to an espionage or combat report shared does not work
• Combat reports cannot be deleted from the trash if they are opened in an extra tab
• Combat reports cannot be shared to the alliance using the share button at the overlay
• Phalanx scan and system phalanx scan overlay espionage button broken
• Event list espionage icon does not send espionage probes
• Espionage technology information does not instantly update in the event list
• Empty debris fields do not get deleted from the galaxy overview
• Planet relocation countdown missing from the galaxy view

Note: You will probably notice a lot of potential issues regarding overlays, messages, and the galaxy view with this update which simply are solved by doing a hard reload (Ctrl+Shift+R). In addition to that, some addons might fail to work since button positions got changed (e.g. different order of the “Transport”, “Espionage”, and “Attack” button when hovering over a planet).

Live Servers

Hello commanders!

On Tuesday 14th of December, we will bring the version 8.5.0 to the live servers.

The update will come at 13:00 CET to OGame.us (08:00 server time).

The final changelog for the live servers is:

[Update]: Pirates encountered on expeditions now have combat technology of at least level 3.

[Update]: Aliens and pirates no longer attack expedition fleets which have at least one Deathstar.

[Bugfix]: Improved the loading times for switching between solar systems in the galaxy view.

[Bugfix]: An error was fixed where multiple overlays could not be opened twice in a row without refreshing the page.

[Bugfix]: Ship tooltips in Fleet Dispatch I can no longer block the input field of the ship type they are presented over.

[Bugfix]: A ship’s fuel capacity now corresponds to the current load capacity instead of the basic value of the load capacity.

[Bugfix]: Various backend changes

[Bugfix]: Reworked multiple parts of the Galaxy view.

The rework of the Galaxy view might create some problems with some of the tolerated addons. Make sure you deactivate the addons before reporting errors with it.
It is also possible that a hard reload of the browser will be needed after this update (Ctrl+Shift+R)

Hello commanders!

We will have a hotfix maintenance tomorrow, 16th of December.

Version 8.5.1-pl1 will be applied to OGame.us servers at 12:00 CET (07:00 server time).

Changelog:
- Fixed an issue that caused the activity indicator to no longer appear next to each planet in the galaxy view when mobile view was active
- Several back end changes

NOTE: Make sure you deactivate the addons until it is adapted to the new OGame version and as soon as the new version is live use the hard reload (Ctrl+Shift+R)
