    Version 7 - MCO introduced to OGame the Player Classes.
    Since then, each player is able to select one of three classes for free when first starting an account:

    - General
    - Collector

    - Discoverer


    :!:You only get one free class selection. If you deactivate a class, you'll need to pay Dark Matter to activate it again.


    :!:It's possible to change the class later, but it will cost 500,000 units of Dark Matter.

    General





    Class bonus:

    - Increases speed of combat ships +100%

    - Increases speed of recyclers +100%

    - Reduces fuel consumption for all ships -25%

    - Additional levels on combat researches +2

    (weapon, armor, and shield technology)

    - Additional fleet slots +2

    - Additional fields on moons +5

    (Deactivating the class will cause the additional slots to vanish. Buildings that use up these new slots will not vanish even when the class is gone and will continue to occupy the slots above the limit.)

    - Activates +5% fleet speed steps on fleet dispatch

    - Increases cargo capacity for recycler and pathfinder +20%

    (The bonus is set on the base capacity of the ships and needs to be active at the time of the event to work. If the class is deactivated before the ships reach a debris field, for example, the bonus will not apply!)

    - Shipyard acceleration discount +10%

    :arrow: Use current wreck field mechanism for defender also for attacker, if reapers are part of the fleet. Wreck fields are collected by PVE trading ships and brought to your planet / delivered to your space dock.

    - Increases speed of transporters +100%

    - Increases cargo capacity for transporters +25%

    - More Crawlers with Geologist +10%

    - Overcharging resources crawlers in resources settings +150%

    (Every 10% raise above 100% costs 20% additional energy! Deactivating the class during overload will cause it to jump back to 100%)
    - Building acceleration discount +10%

    :arrow: Leads to 50% higher production if crawler used by Collector class.

    :arrow: While the amount is limited, they still require energy to run them.



    :!:How to calculate the number of active Crawlers:

    :arrow: (Metal Mine level + Crystal Mine level + Deuterium Synthesizer level)*8

    Example: (21 + 20 +19) * 8 = 480 active crawlers

    There is no point to building 481, as only 480 will be used.


    :!:How to calculate the Crawler bonus for Collector class:

    :arrow: (Metal Mine level + Crystal Mine level + Deuterium Synthesizer level)*8*0.0002*1.5

    Example: (21 + 20 + 19) * 8 * 0.0002 * 1.5 = 0.144

    :!:How to calculate the Crawler bonus for class Discoverer and General:

    :arrow: (Metal Mine level + Crystal Mine level + Deuterium Synthesizer level)*8*0.0002

    Example: (21 + 20 + 19) * 8 * 0.0002 = 0.096

    - Additional rewards on expeditions +50%

    - Planet size upon colonization increases +10%

    - Additional expedition slots +2

    - Increases phalanx range +20%

    - Loot from inactive players 75%

    - Reduces probability of engaging aliens/pirates on expeditions -50%

    (Possibility of finding items on expedition with weekly and daily limit. Both daily and weekly maximum work together! Keep in mind that if one is reached, no more items will be found!)

    - Research acceleration discount +10%

    Class superpower

    :arrow: When you have an active Discoverer class, the formula works as follow: (Baseloot + Classbonus) * ecospeed.

    Example on default values in a universe with 5x Economy speed: (1 + 0.5) * 5 = 7.5.

    :arrow: The Pathfinder gives a boost of *2 on the base loot of an expedition. Both can be combined, so if you are a Discoverer and are flying with Pathfinders on expedition: (Baseloot + Classbonus) * ecospeed * 2

    Example on default values in a universe with 5x Economy speed: (1 + 0.5) * 5 * 2 = 15.

    :arrow: Without any bonus, your baseloot is simply "1".
